Ladies' Prison Ministry

The Ladies Prison Ministry serves at the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women. We have the privilege of presenting the gospel to the ladies there and developing relationships with them each time we visit. It is a blessing to see how God is moving in their lives and how our lives are changed through serving there. The prison runs background checks for all volunteers.

Opportunities to serve at KCIW (you can choose which program(s) you would like to serve in):

• Aunt Mary’s Reading Program (Saturdays - quarterly 9 – 11:30 a.m.) We provide children’s books for moms to pick out. They read to their child while we video them, we make a DVD, they write a note in the book for them, and the church mails the book and DVD to their child(ren). We meet at the Fegenbush Campus at 8 a.m. and ride over together. You may meet us at KCIW at 8:30 a.m. if you wish.
• Chapel service (Fifth Saturdays 10 – 11:30 a.m.) We provide music and a message for the ladies. We have small group time after the message to answer questions about it. We meet at the Fegenbush Campus at 9 a.m. and ride over together. You may meet us at KCIW at 9:30 a.m. if you wish.
• Quarterly baptisms (church service 1 - 3 p.m.) The Chaplain baptizes the ladies at the end of the service. After they have changed, they come into the conference room, and we share material with them for new believers, as well as a brief testimony from us if you wish to share. We meet at Fegenbush Campus at 12 p.m. and ride over together. You may meet us at KCIW at 12:30 p.m. if you wish.
